My two year old is an American citizen living precariously in the UK with a shaky visa situation that could fall through at any time. If my partner and child had to leave the UK, which is a likely possibility, I would be unable to join them. In order to fix this nightmare of bureaucracy I need to apply for a B2-Visa and to do that I need to renew my passport and I need to do it as soon as possible. I need $160 for the US Visa application and £105.50 for the British passport renewal.
I am a disabled Jewish trans woman with a 4 year gap in my resume and no degree. Between my inability to stand for long periods of time and short-term memory problems that make my life feel like a cheap Memento remake, I cannot work.
Without help, we simply don’t have the financial means to make this Visa application a reality. I love my child more than I can say, and cannot bear being parted from them.

It’s happened. Again. For some bizarre reason a p/orn bot is using your completely safe for work art to get click throughs to something that’s definetly not safe for work.
You desperately want at least your attribution back, but since Tumblr is so horrifically set up you’re very sure there’s no way to do that.
Except you can!
Tumblr allows you to report copyright violations which includes removing your description and injecting their own link. But how to do this?
Step 1: Report them
Go to that human icon, click it to go to the drop down, and select “Report”.
Step 2: Select “Community Violation”
This behavior is explicitly against the Tumblr terms of service so that’s where it goes.
Step 3: Select “Misuse of your identity or work”
Step 4: Select “Misattribution or non-attribution”
Step 5: Select “yes”, this is your work that’s being misattributed.
Step 6: Select “yes”, you posted it to Tumblr.
Step 7: Select “Someone reblogged it and injected a link to their own blog.”
Step 8: Put in the link to your original post, the link to their reblog, and your email. Then submit!
You can get it the link to the reblog without going to their blog directly by going to the dash view of the blog, hovering over the top right corner, right clicking and selecting “copy link address.
While all of us here on this trash website enjoy picking on staff, in my experience they take care of this kind of thing relatively quickly (usually 2-3 days).

Stop censoring the words people are using to blacklist, you are actually exposing people to the word/subject you think you’re protecting them from. If rape is on my blacklist and you have an in depth account of rape and you used r*pe for everything, I WILL NOW BE EXPOSED TO IT because my blacklist DIDN’T BLOCK IT because YOU CHANGED THE WORD.
^^^^^^ To add: Censoring is only really necessary when it comes to a slur your cannot reclaim, but you still need to at least tag the post with the themes so anyone who has, say, antiblack violence blacklisted for instance, won’t be exposed to what it is that triggers them.
I would really appreciate it if people could reblog this instead of ignoring it because this IS becoming a wide spread problem. I have had several panic attacks over the last month due to things that are on my blacklist not being caught specifically because of people censoring the black list word. Blacklists can pick up on words inside posts, but they can’t pick up on those words when you change one or more letters to a star.
Stop censoring words in posts that aren’t slurs, you are not protecting us from exposure, you are forcibly exposing us to it. You are doing precisely the opposite of helping us.

i have both good and bad news. the good news is that we PAID THE WATER COMPANY!!! (click to see proof of payment) it ended up costing more than originally anticipated but we got there all thanks to you guys! my mom and i are so grateful for everything you guys have done for us. but…the bad news…
i called to see why my water wasn’t back on as it should’ve been by today. i was then notified of something NO ONE told me throughout every communication i’ve had with these people since day one of this ordeal - apparently, i ALSO owe the sanitary board a total of one-thousand two hundred fifty five dollars and fifty one cents USD ($1,255.51)and if this is not paid, our water will not be turned back on, and we have a section 8 inspection on April 10th. if the water is not on when this apartment is inspected, that responsibility falls onto myself and my mother, and our section 8 will be terminated.
PLEASE HELP US. this situation has already caused my mom and i so much stress and heartache and worry on top of worry, i’m disabled & have a lot of mental illnesses including bpd, clinical depression, intermittent explosive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, & more. unfortunately, my mother also shares a good few of those same illnesses along with her physical disabilities which include fibromyalgia, spondylosis (c4/5/6/7 vertebrates are rubbing against each other causing chronic pain and bone degeneration), peripheral neuropathy, sciatica, osteoarthritis, the list goes on.
i absolutely CANNOT do this alone!!! i do art commissions and i’ve already applied to any and every job on the bus route or within walking distance but, again, i am disabled and it is difficult for me to work a “regular” job. if you would like any examples of my art, pls don’t be afraid to message me or send an ask!!!
